Azulito Big Band

AZULITO is a ten to eighteen piece band who play a mixture of Big Band Swing Jazz and modern popular music, arranged for a large band format. The name means "little blue" in Spanish and is taken from one of their latin arrangements of the same name.

With a combination of instrumentalists and two vocalists the band can produce the big band sounds of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, vocalists Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin and other similar artistes. Other music ranging from Rock and Roll from the 50's and 60's through to Barry Manilow, Gloria Gaynor, Norah Jones, Celine Dion, Abba, Robbie Williams and music from Grease and other shows/films are also in the library. Swing Is King

Dress is usually dinner suits or uniformed coloured shirts for the “not so formal” occasion. Swing is King Orchestra is the band’s other “musical format” where the main musical content and focus of the band is swing and big band jazz, as opposed to Azulito’s broad section of Jazz, Latin, and Pop.
